Pank Prize for Social Innovation and Enterprise
Sponsored by the Pank Family and the University of South Australia School of Management
The Pank/University of South Australia Prize for Social Innovation and Enterprise is open to all current UniSA students and alumni. The prize is designed to assist the recipient set up a new and innovative social enterprise in South Australia. Applicants can nominate a business partner who is not a UniSA student or alumni member to assist with their application for the award‚ valued at $10‚000 plus mentoring support.
The application and selection process consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Interested parties must complete an online expression of interest and submit a business idea. They will then be contacted by a representative from the School of Management to discuss their idea.
Stage 2: Applicants who meet the criteria will be asked to prepare and submit a feasibility plan that details their business idea and its implementation. Applicants will be directed to a website providing comprehensive modules to assist the applicant in preparing their feasibility plan.
Stage 3: The feasibility plans will be short listed by a panel of representatives from the School of Management. Each plan will be assessed on the strength of the idea‚ the reality of the opportunity and the passion of the applicant for the business. Short listed applicants will then have a chance to present the business idea to the panel. The prize recipient will be selected by the panel including a representative from the School of Management and a representative of the Pank family.
Prize Winner: The prize recipient will be asked to develop a plan‚ in conjunction with a mentor‚ which includes milestones and timelines for the first 12 months.
Value: $10‚000 paid in instalments subject to the provision of tax invoices or receipts. The recipient will also receive mentoring support to the value of $10‚000 from UniSA staff.
