School of Law
This year the Law School achieves a very important milestone – our 10th Birthday.
Ten years ago, our Law School was new to the Adelaide scene. Striving for educational excellence, innovation and flexibility, the UniSA Law Program was developed to teach students the necessary skills needed for legal practice and beyond. These ambitions were perfectly encapsulated in our early marketing - Real World Law. New City School.
In 2017, the Law School has much to be proud of. We have over 550 students enrolled and have seen over 300 students graduate. Many of them have gone on to highly successful and diverse careers supported by the range of double degree options we offer.
Our success doesn’t just rest with our students and graduates. The Law School’s research was assessed as above world class in the 2015 Excellence in Research Australia (ERA) nestling us among the very best Law School’s across the country – a recognition of the quality of our academic staff. With a strong commitment of access to justice, our Legal Advice Clinic has provided over $1million of pro bono work to the South Australian community.
The Law School’s trajectory doesn’t stop here. A passion and commitment for excellence, providing the very best legal education to our students and engaging with our community is what we continue to strive for. The best is yet to come.
